Race for Camp Little Shot to benefit children with diabetes

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Every year there is a Middle Georgia camp that is for children living with diabetes. Elizabeth Jones stopped by 41 Today to tell us more about Camp Little Shot and this weekend’s race to benefit the free camp.

Camp Little Shot is every May in Eatonton. Dozens of campers ages 6 to 18 met for five days and four nights. Jones says the camp is free of charge for the kids.

Jones says activities are just like any other camp. She adds a medication staff is available in case of emergencies and for diabetes education.

The Race for Camp Little Shot is Saturday, September 6th at the Jones Center located at 265 Sheraton Boulevard. The race starts at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $17. Late registration after September 2nd and day of registration is $20. The money raised will benefit the camp program.
