Restaurant Report Card: Mellow Mushroom
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you’re looking to grab a slice of pizza with your family and friends, then Mellow Mushroom on Lake Joy Road in Warner Robins is the place for you. Plus, they’ve got that perfect health inspection.
“It’s a place of love, happiness, you share pizza with your significant other, family, you just share a special occasion with people,” said Brittanie Anderson, whose family owns the restaurant.
Once getting inside, the musical theme becomes apparent. The walls are lined with portraits of iconic musicians such as Jerry Garcia, Bob Marley, and The Doors’ frontman Jim Morrison. Even a little bit of Dave Matthews for extra measure!
In fact, if you feel like you’re in a concert hall, you’re not alone.
“We kind of built this as an amphitheater like scene,” added Anderson. “We want it to be a concert area type to go congregate, hang out, and chill.”
And while you chill, you can order all kinds of different pizzas at the Mellow Mushroom for you to enjoy, but if you’re looking for an extra special kick with your pie, maybe give the Buffalo Chicken a shot. It’s layered with a spicy sauce and a swirl of cool Ranch dressing to top it off.
Yet, no matter what you’re hankering for when you come on in, one thing is for sure – there isn’t a dirty seat in the house.
“Coming into the front door of a restaurant, most people do look… what’s their health score?” Anderson continued. “Because you’re kinda like, ehhhh, you know, I don’t want to eat there or if you go to the restroom and the bathrooms are dirty then you kind of think the kitchen’s dirty, too.”

Lucy’s on Carroll Street in Perry needs to step it up this week with a 79 score which grades them at a C.
According to the health inspection, an employee touched a hamburger bun without wearing any gloves, there wasn’t a date marking system for some of the food, and there were pickles stored in a container that was on the floor.
