Students from high schools around middle Georgia will compete for scholarships. The first prize scholarship is $1000 and will have their speech featured in Macon Magazine. The second and third place winners will receive $500 and $250 scholarships. The top three winners will also go on to compete in March. The winner of that competition will compete at the district conference in May.

The competition is Thursday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. inside the Peyton Anderson Auditorium located at Mercer University. It is open to the public and free to attend.
