Southwest High School gears up for homecoming

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – Homecoming at Southwest High School in Macon is right around the corner. The week long celebration kicks off Sunday, October 20th with the homecoming parade at 2 p.m. at the high school.

Students are also encouraged to show off their school spirit during the week during the school’s different themed days. Monday is tacky day, students are asked to wear their craziest clothes. Tuesday is Senior Citizen Day, students can dress like a senior citizen. Wednesday is Character/ Super Hero Day, students can dress like a cartoon character or super hero. Thursday is Throwback Day, students are encouraged to wear clothes from a certain decade (50’s, 60’s, 70’s, etc.). Friday is Spirit/Pep Rally/ Homecoming Day, students are asked to wear the school’s colors.

Mr. and Miss. Southwest will also be picked on Friday. Power 107.1 will be at the high school Friday morning. The homecoming game starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
