Teen summit focuses on ‘Macon Right Decisions’

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia teens will get a first-hand lesson on ‘Macon Right Decisions’.

The Dominant Divaz United and Macon-Bibb County Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor the day-long event to host workshops and conversations about challenges in the the lives of 12 to 15 year old.

Workshops included: are entering the military; parent/child relationships; health & nutrition; African-American history; the importance of friendship; self-esteem; STD’s & AIDS education; entrepreneurship for young men and appropriate dressing for young women.

The free event will also feature local performers and artists. 

Macon Right Decisions is Saturday, July 25 at 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Frank Johnson Community Center, located on 2227 Mercer University Drive.
