The Blizzard of ’15 photos

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A friend of ours, Ken Mortimer, shared two pictures — one from Rhode Island and one from Massachusetts — of the Blizzard of ’15.

In Rhode Island on I-95 North, people were trying to leave before the snow storm wouldn’t allow them to leave.

In Massachusetts and New England in general, they received the brunt of the winter storm than their friends out west in New York and Pennsylvania, who experienced typical winter weather with atypical preparations! 

According to the National Weather Service, the system moved farther east than expected, and New York residents woke up to typical wintry weather. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo lifted a travel ban for New York City and its northern suburbs.
