Thousands expected to donate to nonprofits for Georgia Gives Day

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s a big day for nonprofits across the state of Georgia. Thursday marks Georgia Gives Day, and more than 54,000 donors are expected to donate.

Since 2012, Georgia Gives Day, led by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits has raised more than $9 million for nonprofits across the state. Alison Evans, CEO of The Methodist Home stopped by the 41NBC studio to discuss what Georgia Give Day means for her organization. She says The Methodist Home is blessed by the kindness of others.

Evans says it’s a big day across the state, and the money raised allows The Methodist Home to go above and beyond helping children.
