Tubman Museum to celebrate grand opening of new location
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Tubman Museum is getting ready for its grand opening at the new location.
Dr. Andy Ambrose from the museum and Yolando “Y-O” Latimore from the Pan African Festival of Georgia stopped by 41 Today to tell us about all the fun activities happening that weekend.
The Tubman Museum’s grand opening is May 16th and 17th. The celebration kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. with a symbolic march from the old Tubam Museum to its new location on Cherry Street.
The Pan African Festival of Georgia is the same weekend. There will be food and merchandise vendors, music, dance, and a car raffle.
