Walker Foundation hosting Empowerment Symposium

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – This Saturday, the Walker Foundation is hosting a symposium to share information, resources and provide health screenings to people in Middle Georgia. The 14th annual Community and Family Empowerment Symposium is Saturday, December 7th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Macon Memorial Gym on Long Street in Macon. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

The symposium started out as an HIV/AIDS awareness event, but has grown into so much more. This weekend, there will be people talking about how you can buy your first home, saving for retirement and self-wellness. There will also be free HIV/AIDS testing.
