Warm Up with Warner Robins Chili & Cornbread Cook-Off

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s been chilly this month, so why not warm up with a nice bowl of chili. Ruby Holmes with the Warner Robins Recreation Department stopped by 41 Today to tell us about the first “Chili and Cornbread Cook-Off.”

The deadline to enter in the cook off is Friday, January 17. Call (478) 293-1080 to register.

The cook-off is Saturday, January 25 at the McIntyre Room. It costs $25 per entry or $40 for two entries.

Official judging will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The public can pay $5 to buy a wristband to take part in the People’s Choice voting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m.

Judging will be based on color, aroma, appearance, and taste. All entries must be made from scratch.
