Take a Trolley Tour of Civil War Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This weekend you can go back in time to learn more about the role the City of Macon played during the Civil War. Earl Colvin from the Cannoball House stopped by 41 Today to tell us about a tour that will take you around town to some key places during this conflict.

The Cannonball House will offer a tour of Civil War Macon on Saturday, April 19. The one-hour trolley tour will take guests to the places that were of particular interest to Macon during the war. Colvin said guests will also learn the role Macon played in support of the war and see the evolution of some of the buildings that still exist today.

There are two tours leaving at 11 a.m and 1 p.m. from the Cannonball House. Tickets are $20 and include a tour of the Cannonball House and grounds. To make a reservation, call (478) 745-5982.
